The Fair City of Perth will soon be swinging to the sound of the big brass bands as thousands of players from all over the UK assemble there to take part in one of the premiere events in the calendar – the Scottish Brass Band Festival.
The Festival which runs over two weekends – November 24/25 and December 2 – is being held at Perth Concert Hall with highlights including the Youth Brand and Open Championships in November and the Scottish Challenge Shield and Scottish Challenge Cup in December.
Tickets are £10.50 per day including booking fee or £8.50 for concessions.
Accommodation may be hard to find in the City but Duchally Country Estate is conveniently located just 15 miles away and offers excellent value. The rooms and lodges are furnished, equipped and decorated to the highest standards and offer spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
The Estate’s leisure centre includes a heated swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, steam-room and sauna as well as a fully-equipped and air-conditioned gym.
Duchally serves the legendary Perthshire breakfast which features a mouth watering all-you-can-eat buffet including Scottish specials such as sliced haggis, black pudding and ‘Tattie scone’.
