If you are looking forward to a holiday at CLC Duchally Country Estate in Perthshire this month, pray for some Scottish sunshine on Sunday, 29th July.

Because the CLC Duchally Country Estate Festival and Ceilidh starts at 1.00pm to ‘kick off’ a very full and exciting programme of events and activities for all the family.

The event is in aid of Slow Food UK – a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment, which is very much in keeping with CLC Duchally Country Estate’s own ‘Green Tourism’ philosophy.

Much of the emphasis of the event is upon ‘food’ and during a very busy afternoon, there will be a food and drink market in the grounds and local produce and craftwork will be on display for sale in the hotel.

Elsewhere on the beautiful CLC Duchally Country Estate, dedicated ‘foodies’ can get their taste buds tingling as they watch professional chefs offer cookery demonstrations while the kids will stay occupied and happy with face painting and a bouncy castle.

Phoenix Falconry will provide a stunning display of avian aerobatics skills and there’ll also be a stirring, swirling bagpipes and drums show from the Blackford Pipe Band. And last but by no means least, there will be a prize raffle to raise funds for Slow Food UK.

Later on, the mood changes and live music will dominate the evening’s entertainment when the Ceilidh gets into full swing. The programme starts at 7pm and includes ‘A Very Duchally Garden Party’ with a BBQ, buffet supper and full bar.

The Duchally Festival and Ceilidh is guaranteed to be a fun day – and although entry is absolutely free, donations to the ‘Slow Food UK’ cause will be most welcome.

CLC World guests already booked to stay at CLC Duchally Country Estate can expect a day full of spectacle, music and excitement.

What’s more, hotel rooms are still available, so if you would like to enjoy the Ceilidh and make a weekend of it all – or even stay a bit longer! – please call the Duchally hotel reception on +44 (0)1764 663 071 to make your reservation.
