Teeing up for a new golf tournament

The Jack Nicklaus designed Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course is the challenge that faces the men and women competing in the golf tournaments. As well as individual Match Play, there is a ground-breaking “historic” event with the Team Stroke Play competition: men and women will be competing together for the first time.

Aileen Campbell, Scottish Government Minister for Sport, said: “Gleneagles has staged many prestigious golf tournaments through its history. In 2018 Gleneagles will be the magnificent setting for European Championships and will see elite men and women golfers compete together for the first time”.

As Duchally is only a short drive from Gleneagles, it offers the perfect location to stay and enjoy the competition. Book your comfortable and stylish lodge now to avoid disappointment.

Cultural Festival

Running alongside the European Championships is the Cultural Festival in Glasgow city, a lively and creative hub showcasing Scottish and Glaswegian culture. So, if there are any non-sports fans in your party, they can be entertained whilst the rest of you cheer on your favourite athlete.

With Glasgow pulsing with sports and cultural activities during the beginning of August, and Edinburgh – also only an hour away from Duchally – hosting its annual festivals at the same time, Duchally could not be better positioned from which to enjoy a summer of fun.
