A stylish new outside drinking area, The Glenfiddich Terrace, is being created at CLC Duchally Country Estate in Perthshire, Scotland, in time for an Easter opening.
The patio area with comfy modern sofas, glass topped whisky barrel tables and cream coloured parasols, will complement the hotel’s inside bar, with its Whisky Embassy status, and a new whisky list is being created in collaboration with the world famous distillers.
Glenfiddich whisky, instantly recognisable by the stag emblem on its bottles and described as ‘the world’s most awarded single malt’, is produced in Dufftown, Speyside, in the Scottish Highlands. Its name is Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. The company was founded by William Grant in 1886 and his descendants continue to own and manage what is one of the last independent distilleries in Scotland today.
Alex Cibelli, deputy general manager at CLC Duchally Country Estate, said: “We are very excited about the new facility which will provide extra seating for 30 and an area where people can chill while enjoying good food and drink in the great outdoors during spring and summer, with live music performances at weekends.”
Glenfiddich’s founding aim was to produce the ‘best dram in the valley’, hotel and lodge guests will soon be able to enjoy the best dram at CLC Duchally Country Estate from its carefully selected whisky list in an outdoor ambience.
