The dedicated staff in the kitchen at CLC Duchally Country Estate has built up a reputation to be proud of for creating culinary delights that would grace gourmet tables anywhere. And for the fourth year running that dedication has been rewarded by a Silver “Eat Scotland” award from Visit Scotland, the Scottish Tourist Authority.
The inspector described our Monteath’s Restaurant as having a “contemporary modern elegance tinged with character effects” and reported his “enjoyment of the extremely good cuisine created from carefully sourced quality ingredients and served by staff that are friendly, diligent, attentive and professional.”
Of the various categories measured in the assessment the restaurant exceeded the requirement in 29 out of 35 standards – five more than last year.
Resort Manager Graeme MacDonald said: “I am delighted that CLC Duchally Country Estate has once again received this award which recognises for the fourth year running the hard work of our kitchen and restaurant staff. Our carefully prepared menus offer a generous selection of dishes featuring a strong Scottish influence and of course one of the aims of Eat Scotland is to raise the profile of Scottish food as an important part of tourism. Whenever we can we use locally sourced, organic and sustainable produce and we will continue to maintain our levels of excellence so our customers can enjoy a mouth watering culinary experience.”
