Guests visiting CLC Duchally Country Estate during October will have a wonderful opportunity to witness one of Scotland’s most unusual and exciting cultural events – ‘The Enchanted Forest’.

Open from Friday 4th October until Sunday 27th October at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry, the spectacular outdoors show features an amazing combination of lights and music set against the gorgeous autumnal backdrop of the forest foliage, and is simply not to be missed.

Now in its 10th year, the event welcomed over 30,000 visitors in 2012 and has been recognised once again as the ‘Best Cultural Event’ in the prestigious 2013 Scottish Event Awards.

The performance comprises a series of eight separate mini-shows with an intriguing theme, ‘Absorb’, running throughout the well marked forest route, at the end of which is a curious ‘yurt’ – a dwelling made from bent tree branches – where professional storytellers have some enchanting tales to tell.

Just 45 minutes from CLC Duchally Country Estate, Pitlochry is easy to find and has plenty of parking available. A shuttle bus will take ticket-holders to the forest. Outdoors catering will be available at the site – so a warming hot chocolate or a tasty mulled wine will quickly chase away any chills. Or why not be really adventurous and take a picnic – together with a flask of your favourite brew, of course!

Show times vary each evening, and ticket prices start at £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for children between 3-15 years. Family discount tickets are also available from £35. For stories, a £1 supplement will apply, and entry to the yurt is on a strictly first come, first served basis, with varying start times.

The Enchanted Forest is guaranteed to be a great night out for all the family. More information is available on the web site at
